
Passing & Ball control

Exercise description:
Area: 24x24 with two soccer balls. Ten players are shown. Two players are at each starting point.
1. Player with the ball passes clockwise to the middle player who receives the ball on the back foot and passes to the next player.
2. After a pass, the player follows their pass.
3. If you have 12 players or more, you may add a third ball.
4. After a few minutes, the group switches and passes the ball counter-clockwise.
Coaching points:
Body shape.
First touch.
Quality of the pass - Accuracy, weight, and timing.
Intended outcome:

Performance problems:
Players passes are not accurate and players are not receiving the ball on the back foot.
Variation:
Add four players in the middle. You use two soccer balls. The outside player passes the ball to the furthest player, who sets it back for the player who passes the ball to the outside player.
